Long Overdue Update

When we last posted, we were awaiting our flight from Gatwick airport in huge anticipation of our excursion. Upon landing we were amazed by the beautiful architectural aesthetics of the Icelandic airport which resembled a Bungalow and a greenhouse combined. Entering into the cold Icelandic air, we sighted our bus across the car park, the 'Green monster bus'.
Today, after travelling around the Village observing the 'modern art' we drove to a fantastic natural phenomenon, of the faults and fissures of Iceland and had a fantastic time despite slightly bloody incident with Robert Matthews.

Following another short coach trip, we witnessed some spectacular natural beauty in the form of Geysers.
With various fruit related incidents, we traveled to the fantastic natural wonder that is 'Gullfoss' a spectacular waterfall towering 31m, with tonnes of water reaching speeds of 2000cubic meters per second. A fantastic way to round off a fantastic day.

On the buses

Despite the suggested name there is only one bus but all are safely aboard. Thank you to all our loving parents for taking the time out of their morning to wave us off. Will be keeping you posted throughout the day on the groups activities.

26 Days Left

With only 26 days until we set off on our excursion, everyone is getting very excited. Having released the itinerary everyone is thrilled by the prospect of what we are going to be getting up to, including taking a dip in the blue lagoon, walking behind waterfalls and strolling along the black basalt sands of Reynishverfi.
